Graduation Car Parade Ideas

One of the fun ways you can celebrate your high school graduate is with a graduation car parade party in lieu of a traditional party! Here are the basics with more info on each below:
- Set a date and a window of time for the parade; keep the length of the parade reasonably short so there aren't big lulls in the action (90 minutes max, shorter is better!)
- Send invitations to friends and family inviting them to parade past your house in their cars to celebrate your graduate!
- Decorate your yard and house with signs and banners celebrating your grad's accomplishments!
- Give out party favors to the cars that drive by.
And attendees - don't forget to decorate your cars for the parade!

Decorations for Your Parade
| You can decorate the house or the yard with banners, lawn letters, signs and balloons to make it festive. In the greater Triangle area, check out Banners and Signs in our business directory for several options to rent large yard signs. Another option for banners is Edgar Huff Photography - his athletic and graduation banners are awesome. Or get something like the festive banner shown on the right to decorate your front door and porch. Graduation Parade Party Favors
| To thank your guests for being part of the graduation parade, hand out small favors to the cars as they drive through. The most common favor is some sort of sweet treat like these pretzels we ordered from Love Bites NC Bakery in Apex, NC. Attach a thank you message with a tag or label (see below) and package the favor so they're ready to hand off as the cars drive by. |  |
